Through this blog I’ve been able to do a lot of things, the most important of which was letting go of my Quarter Life Crisis. This included overcoming my perceived expectations and really digging deep to find what I truly needed in order to start getting my life together. Since then I’ve been able to overcome many of my obstacles – from getting a job and getting my finances in order to overcoming my crippling anxiety and fears. I’ve also helped several other people do the same through the blog and through the first ebook, Grad Meets World: The First Year Out of College.
I’ve also been able to cultivate what has become one of my truest passions: to help members of my generation overcome their anxiety over the unknown and gain confidence in their abilities.
In 2011 I started dabbling into the idea of coaching and even picked up a couple of students. However, I put it on the back burner to focus on writing the first ebook. My burning desire to help my generation on a one-on-one basis became even more clear after the launch of the ebook. I wanted to go a step further and meet millenials right where they are – knee deep in their Quarter Life Crisis.
As a result of this burning desire, 2012 will be dedicated to develop a program to help YOU: the millenial with lots of big ideas, the millenial that wants to let go of their expectations, the millenial that wants to kick ass at a job interview, the millenial that wants to explore what makes them tick, the millenial that wants to kick their inner critic in the gonads.
Here are a few of the program’s core beliefs…
I believe that you don’t have to be crippled over the unknown.
I believe that you should go deep and be honest with yourself at all times.
I believe that stress is manageable.
I believe that we must make time to cultivate our passions.
I believe that everyone has a different path – some just need more help finding it than others.
I believe that societal and economic pressures do not have to define our futures.
I believe that everyone has something to give to the world.
I believe that confidence is sexy.
I believe you don’t have to hate your job.
I believe in side hustling.
I believe in turning your dreams into tangible goals.
I believe that Gen Y has a wonderful opportunity to change the way the world works.
The certification process beings…
I am currently enrolled at the International Coach Academy and began taking my classes in April 2012. In the process of my training and certification I will be picking up clients once I have met the program’s requirements to begin. I’ve begun taking my classes, I’m knee deep in coaching practicums and I have found an amazing coach to help me tailor my message and program along the way.
This is where you come in…
2012 will be dedicated to turning these concepts into a program meant to help Gen Y overcome their fears, manage stress and reach for the stars. Through the course’s development I will be offering free coaching sessions in order to get feedback and refine it. I will also be sending out free exercises and inspirational quotes. If you’d like a free session, want the inside scoop or want some free coaching tools please use the form below to sign up.
I look forward to undergoing this journey and I hope you all will come along for the ride.
Xoxo,
Amanda
