Where I’ve Been Lately #2

Like my mala bracelet? ;)

Alright guys, here’s a round-up of where I’ve been lately. Business, writing, health, and everything in between. I apologize in advance for the sheer length of this post. There’s been a lot of stuff going on and really cool things happening across the web.

Digital Zen Ink

Caroline and I have been busy bees over at Digital Zen Ink writing for different clients, some of which have even turned into returning clients! We’ve gotten several gigs thanks to multiple sources like Freelancer.com, BloggingPro, and in person encounters.

It’s nice to see that busting our asses is starting to pay off. Check out our blog for the latest on entrepreneurship tips including a post on how Twitter has changed our lives and how your blog can land you a job.

Oh, and a big congratulations to Ada for having won the Opening Day Book Giveaway! Ada has won a copy of The Money Book for Freelancers, Part-Timers, and the Self-Employed with a book plate autographed by the authors!

(Also a big thank you to @The_Money_Book for sending us the autographs!)

Brazen Careerist

Brazen Careerist has taken me on as a regular contributor! Starting this month I will be writing for the Brazen Careerist blog! Don’t forget to check out my first post Why You Might Be Better Off Without a Job After College.

I also had the pleasure of partaking in this week’s Network Roulette So You Want to Be an Entrepreneur? Once again Brazen never fails to deliver as I made some great connections who gave me wonderful advice!

Of Woods and Words

Ada (who is also a freelance writer) over at Of Woods and Words asked me to do a guest post for her! If you’ve always wondered how I started making money off of freelancing check out Making Dreams into Reality.

Greek For Me

This is for those of you who may still be in college or just graduated this May. Check out my guest post for Greek For Me Four Must-Dos Before Graduating From College. AKA The Things I Didn’t Do But Definitely Should Have (except of course the last one ;) )

Limit Free Lifestyle

Sneha over at Limit Free Lifestyle runs a great blog for those of you who want to live as extraordinarily as possible. Check out the guest post I wrote for her and find out why the word “dreams” makes me cringe a little, 5 Steps for Turning Dreams into Goals.

myFootPath

myFootPath is a website dedicated to helping people make important life decisions regarding their careers and goals. Whether you are fresh out of high school or considering a career change, this wonderful website has resources for everybody. Needless to say I was thrilled when they asked me to write something up for them! Check out Side Businesses You Can Start on Your Own!

Fitness

I have said it time and time again that fostering a healthy lifestyle has become an important aspect in my life. Unfortunately, I have not been able to go to a Yoga class for the first time in weeks :( . However, I am still seeing my trainer once a week and going to the gym at least twice a week on my own.

M trainer has basically prohibited me from doing any cardio (except to get my heart rate up) because I cannot afford to lose any weight. Instead, we’re focusing on weight training and toning the  different muscles throughout my body. Needless to say it’s been exhausting lol. Since I’m not used to this kind of conditioning soreness was a big issue at first, but fortunately a couple of weeks in and my body is getting acucstomed to the workout.

Florida Teacher Certification Exam

This is coming along slowly but surely. My goal is to be ready for this test by August. Seeing as how I basically have to reteach myself math it should prove to be interesting.
