This Week on GMW

It’s Friday once again! Good times, rest and a tall drink are looming in the very near future.

In case you missed it here’s what’s been going on around these parts lately.

Health and Fitness

You may have guessed from my post earlier this week that I have become slightly obsessed with health and fitness blogs. It’s because I am dead set on living a healthier lifestyle. So dead set, in fact, that I went to training earlier this week, have worked out everyday after work since then, dropped coffee and soda all together, and have started to follow a nutritional guide that my trainer has set up for me. Right now it just looks like a lot of dry chicken and protein but I’m sure I can find some creative ways to flair it up, like this great organic and vegetarian restaurant that I’m starting to order from every once in a while for lunch.

As for my body, I’m starting to notice some major changes. My stomach is finally coming back, I’m gaining strength, and I’m just in a better mood overall.

Freelancing Side Hustle

I’m still writing a plethora of financial posts for Alternative Media and will definitely be sharing the links once they are published. As for other projects, I have hit some bumps with my pitches but it won’t stop me from trying until I get it right.

I also have a couple of guest posts coming up on some great blogs and had Things You Shouldn’t Do When Applying For a Job published over on Gen Y Rants. It’s a pretty funny piece on some of the crazy things I’ve actually seen people do since I started working for an employment agency. Trust me guys, I’ve got some good material.

Band Back Together

You all remember Caroline, my kick ass partner in crime who still runs Digital Zen Ink and is working toward her dream of having a writing career. Anyway, she has teamed up with Aunt Becky from Mommy Wants Vodka and a bunch of other great bloggers to create Band Back Together, a group blog where people can find support while they share their triumphs and struggles. It’s a beautiful blog with an even greater concept and I encourage you all to go check it out.

As always, here are some of my favorite Gen Y related links for the week. You can follow me on Twitter for updates on cool links and articles that I find.
