I am glad to be out of credit card debt again and hopefully I will stay out of it for good! 4,000 paid down in 4 months (living at home, 60% of income to debt). Also is there a full sized link for the image you used? I can't read it even when I click on it. 3 retirement, 5 investments, 6 side job, and 7 wants versus needs are obstacles for me I just wanted to add that I did appreciate this article. Try to find a no balance transfer fee card, such as the Chase Slate (warning, you need a high credit score for this card) or a card that gives you at least 12 months of no interest. You'll still have to pay the minimums and likely a 3% balance transfer fee. #4 could be considered the right thing to do if you are paying off high interest credit card debt with a 0% into offer for a set number of months. And I think it's the root of many of the other obstacles on the list. We learn how to control #7 and we'll be well on our way to having our finances figured out. Saving is also a big problem because at the stage of your life most just wanna have fun before the start settling down.
